63 Amp Three Phase Cable with Red Connectors

This is our go to 63A three phase extension lead for higher capacity temporary power where reliability matters. It’s ideal for feeding larger distribution boards, plant and site power, workshops, compounds, outdoor installations, and any setup where you want a robust cable that stands up to real handling.

Proper cable, built for real use

We build these using 16mm² 5 core H07RN F heavy duty rubber cable, selected for flexibility and toughness in demanding conditions. The cable meets the relevant harmonised standards and is UV resistant and flame retardant, making it a solid choice for professional use indoors or outdoors.

Why we use 16mm² 5 core on 63A

A 63A supply is typically feeding significant loads or downstream distribution, so conductor size matters. We use 16mm² 5 core to give proper electrical headroom and help keep voltage drop lower on longer runs. In plain terms, that means cleaner power delivery and less stress on connected equipment, especially as cable length increases.

For temporary systems, BS 7909 also points you towards using heavy duty rubber cable (H07RN F or equivalent) for outdoor and general use, and highlights using cable where the specification and conductor size can be verified.

Connectors: PCE 63A three phase red

We fit genuine PCE 63A connectors throughout, using:

• PCE 035 6 plug: 63A, 3P plus N plus E, 400V class, 6h, red, IP44

• PCE 235 6 connector: 63A, 3P plus N plus E, 400V class, 6h, red, IP44

The red 400V colour keying and 6h clock position keeps everything consistent with common three phase site and temporary power setups, so your cables match the kit you are already using.

Asset marking

Every cable is supplied with 12cm of clear heat shrink on both ends. It gives you a clean, durable area to add your asset ID, company name, barcodes, colour labels, or inspection tags without it peeling off or looking scruffy over time.

• Bootlace ferrules used for tidy, reliable terminations
• Torque screwdrivers used so terminations are tightened to the correct specification
• Each cable is fully tested and PAT tested before it leaves us
