Built for real world touring and production use, this 32A three phase Socapex distro is designed for reliable power distribution to lighting and stage loads, including rigs that end up behind LED screens, on platforms, or outdoors where equipment still needs to keep working.
12 channels, protected properly
This unit provides 12 Socapex channels in total, delivered via two ShowSafe 19 pin Socapex outputs, plus two 16A outlets for local kit such as control gear, networking, work lights, or small practical loads. It’s a genuinely useful setup because you can run the rig and still have convenient power nearby without dragging out another board.
Why this is different to “one RCD for everything”
Many Socapex distros put all channels behind a single RCD. That can be a problem because one earth fault, or enough normal background leakage across multiple connected devices, can trip the whole lot.
On this unit, each Socapex channel has its own two pole Type A, C curve RCBO. If one channel develops a fault, only that channel trips, so the rest of the rig stays live. It also helps avoid nuisance tripping caused by leakage adding up across lots of connected fixtures and drivers.
IP rated distro, because your fixtures already are
In the last couple of years we’ve seen a huge increase in IP rated fixtures (IP44, IP65, IP67 and beyond)… but plenty of power distribution on stages is still effectively “best kept dry”.
This is exactly why this unit exists. When the weather turns, or when that one leak appears in the exact wrong place (it always seems to), you shouldn’t need someone sprinting around with tarpaulin, plastic bags, and a roll of gaffer trying to protect the power.
This distro is built to handle real conditions and provides IP44 protection when both Socapex outputs are connected, so you can get on with the show rather than babysitting the electrics.
Touring friendly construction
The enclosure is made from impact resistant polypropylene, chosen for hard wearing use with strong chemical and corrosion resistance. It’s designed to handle life on the road, whether it is used bare or installed into a flightcase.
It’s also flightcase friendly and suits standard rack style builds, with enclosure dimensions: 265 mm (6U) x 490 mm x 450 mm (height x width x depth).
