This is our flagship main distribution unit, built for demanding temporary and semi permanent power setups where reliability matters.

It is ideal anywhere you need a single incoming supply to feed multiple downstream boards, plant, cabins, compounds, workshops, exhibitions, outdoor installations, or large scale event and film power.

Unlike many large distribution boards that are designed around peak ratings, this unit is built with high continuous loads in mind. The internal layout supports airflow through the enclosure, and we do not cut corners on internal cable sizing, helping reduce hot spots when the unit is working hard for long periods.

Incoming supply, isolation and looping onwards

You get a 500A Powerlock three phase input and a 500A Powerlock three phase through output (unprotected) so you can loop onwards to additional distribution where required. The incoming supply is protected by a four pole 400A MCCB with an external lockable handle for safe isolation, lockout and tagout.

Local single phase power where you need it

For day to day practicality, we include local single phase outlets so crews can power small essentials without dragging out a separate board. These are perfect for work lights, chargers, small tools, control gear, or block heaters on standby generators. The single phase outputs are protected by two pole Type A RCBO protection, which combines RCD protection and overcurrent protection in one device.

Three phase output protection, variable RCD on this model

All three phase outputs have four pole isolation and use a variable RCD system, giving you flexibility when the downstream setup changes job to job. A variable RCD system uses an earth leakage relay with adjustable sensitivity and time delay.

On this unit, the trip sensitivity can be adjusted from 30 mA up to 10 A, and the time delay can be set from instantaneous up to 10 seconds using selectable delay steps. This gives you a practical way to suit different loads and site conditions instead of being locked into a single setting.

Each three phase output also includes a key controlled bypass so RCD protection can be switched off when required by a competent person. The bypass indication is clear, with blue illumination so it is obvious when protection has been bypassed.

Metering and monitoring

A programmable digital panel meter is fitted so you can actually see what is happening on the supply. The ND20LITE supports a wide range of measurements, includes RS485 Modbus for monitoring and integration, and is IP65 from the front.

Rugged enclosure and transport friendly design

The enclosure is made from impact resistant polypropylene chosen for hard wearing use, with strong chemical and corrosion resistance. Connections and windows are recessed within the frame to help protect sockets in transit. Because this is a heavy item, it is fitted with dedicated lifting handles designed for safe handling, and they also double as solid ratchet strap points so you can strap the unit down during transport without worrying about handles deforming or warping.

Optional extras are available at additional cost, including a metal crash frame around the unit and bolt on fork pockets for easier yard and truck handling.
