A green LED power indicator makes it obvious at a glance that the unit is live.

Why there is no RCBO on this unit

We are often asked why we do not fit a 30 mA RCBO in this product. In most compliant temporary power setups (including BS 7909 and BS 7671 practices), a 30 mA RCD is already provided upstream on 16 amp single phase supplies. Adding the same 30 mA device again downstream would typically put two RCDs in line, which is usually redundant and can introduce unnecessary complications. This unit is designed to be used as intended with correct upstream protection.

IP rating note

With socket covers closed and nothing plugged in, the 13 amp outlets are IP44. When plugs are in use, the sockets are no longer IP44 (as with most 13 amp socket arrangements).

Easy handling

The handle layout is designed so a user can comfortably carry multiple units at once — in practice, four can be carried using two hands.
